I've also made the less legible kingdom names more apparent in the directions below the image, so you're not squinting at the word "Strathclyde."
We're going to be focusing on the isles, so pick your country from the ones shown on the map above. Also, as it happens, the British Isles are much more interesting, with over a dozen countries to follow. So I've decided that we're going back in time, to 867 A.D., and that I'll be playing as the Petty King of Mide, which should make this a bit more exciting. I ran through a few years and it took almost a decade to finally fabricate a claim on a territory and start a war for expansion. I got tired of being unable to do anything as the Count of Dublin, who's only hope for expansion existed in the form of a chancellor with a diplomacy rating of 10. Welcome to my new interactive Crusader Kings II campaign. The single county country with 20,000 Norse invaders on it is the Petty Kingdom of Jorvick. The small realm that borders Mercia and Wessex to the east is East Anglia, and the realm south of Powys is the Petty Kingdom of Deheubarth. The dark blue realm that borders Strathclyde at the north is the Petty Kingdom of Sudreyjar. The light blue realm bordering Northumbria is the Jarldom of Strathclyde.
